"SAY GOODBYE" alla plastica

There’s a lot that’s changed thanks to the pandemic. However, almost certainly, we’re all washing our hands a great deal more than ever before. For those of us who are conscious about our impact on the environment, there are multiple elements to consider, from packaging to manufacturing process, as well as run-off into waterways.

Solid soaps are more environmentally friendly than shower gels, on average we use seven times more liquid soap than solid soap! Even if more and more shower gel bottles are recyclable, they still generate waste for the planet and require 20 times more energy to be produced and recycled. 

Solid soaps are staging a come back - they are cool again, thanks to the plastic-free movement. Casa Amalfi soaps are all plastic free, wrapped in 100% recycled paper that is locally sourced. Soap bars use much less packaging to store and less water to produce, they cost less and they last longer!

Plastic bottle of liquid soap are also much heavier than a soap bar, this means they are more difficult to move around and use more energy in transportation. We also love that there is no need to carry a huge toiletry kit when you travel or go to the gym, a solid soap takes up very little space.

       

Did you know that only about 9% of plastics are actually recycled. It’s called wish-cycling because when we throw plastic into the recycling bin we’re wishing it gets recycled but it likely doesn’t. Per fortuna anche nei supermercati sono comparsi prodotti solidi, shampoo, saponi corpo, detergenti viso e creme da massaggio. Sono tutte ottime soluzioni che riducono notevolmente l’uso della plastica e che sono anche pratiche da mettere in valigia e nella borsa da palestra.

Scegliere un prodotto solido fa bene all'ambiente, all'acqua, ma anche al nostro corpo ed alle nostre tasche, perchè i prodotti solidi durano generalmente più a lungo rispetto a uno stesso prodotto liquido, possono essere trasportati facilmente, in poco spazio, riducendo non solo l‘impatto logistico ma anche di consumo.

I nostri saponi Casa Amalfi sono tutti avvolti in confezioni realizzate 100% in carta riciclata, con una produzione di CO2 molto bassa rispetto a prodotti impacchettati in plastica.do l’acqua nella realizzazione dei cosmetici.

 La sola produzione di prodotti solidi, a livello globale, evita quasi 2.000.000 di litri d’acqua all’anno, abbattendo i costi ambientali in termini di produzione, trasporto e smaltimento.
