The Story Behind Casa Amalfi, More Than a Place

The Amalfi Coast has always been more than a place to us.

It is a feeling.

The morning light falling across the terraces. The scent of flowers blooming in the gardens. The sound of the sea below and the warmth of the sun on the stone.

It is a long lunch that becomes an afternoon, an aperitivo at sunset, a table filled with family and friends. It is a hand-painted plate, an open window, a cool breeze and the feeling that there is nowhere else you need to be.

For us, this is the Amalfi Coast.

And this is where the story of Casa Amalfi began.

A way of living

Casa Amalfi was created by Ivan and Simonetta with a simple idea: to bring a little piece of the Amalfi Coast into everyday life.

For Ivan, coming back to Naples has always been about coming home. Seeing his family, returning to familiar streets, sitting around the table with the people he loves and reconnecting with the place where his from. The energy of its streets, the warmth of its people, the food, the colours and the unmistakable way of life have always been part of who he is.

For Simonetta, this is where her love story began.

An Australian who fell in love with Ivan and, through him, discovered Naples and the beauty of Southern Italy. The dramatic coastline, the colours, the warmth, the people and the way of life created a connection that felt almost immediate.

What began as a love story between two people became a love for a place, a culture and a way of living.

From Naples to the Amalfi Coast, there is a natural appreciation for beauty, but it is never about perfection.

It is about enjoying the moment.

A morning coffee on a sunny terrace. Fresh lemons on the table. A favourite fragrance before heading out for the evening. A dinner that lasts much longer than planned.

These are the moments that stay with you.

And it was this feeling that we wanted to capture with Casa Amalfi.

Not a postcard of the Amalfi Coast, but something more personal.

Something you can experience wherever you are.

Inspired by Italy

From the beginning, we wanted Casa Amalfi to be rooted in Italian craftsmanship.

We work with Italian artisans and makers to create pieces that have a sense of place and personality. Our hand-painted ceramics celebrate the colours and patterns of Southern Italy, while our fragrances are inspired by the places, memories and emotions that are part of our lives.

For us, Made in Italy is more than a label.

It is about the people behind each product, the hands that make it and the traditions that continue from one generation to the next.

It is also about those small imperfections that make something feel truly handmade.

Fragrance as a memory

Fragrance has always been at the heart of Casa Amalfi.

A scent can take you somewhere instantly. It can remind you of a person, a summer, a meal, a holiday or a moment you thought you had forgotten.

This is why our Eau de Parfum collection is inspired by real places and memories.

Take Me To Capri recalls a moment between Naples and Capri and the beginning of a love story.

Buongiorno Positano was inspired by a surprise anniversary morning and the moment we opened the doors to the magical view of Positano in front of us.

Sunday in Napoli is a memory of family, Sunday cooking and the mother-in-law who was at the heart of the family table.

Each fragrance tells a different story.

Together, they are part of ours.

A little piece of Amalfi, wherever you are

Today, Casa Amalfi goes beyond fragrance. Our world includes hand-painted ceramics, candles, soaps, and pieces created for the table and the home.

But the idea remains the same.

We don't want to simply create products that remind you of Italy.

We want to create things that make you feel something.

A candle that brings back a summer evening. A fragrance that reminds you of a special place. A hand-painted plate that makes an ordinary dinner feel like a holiday.

Because we believe that luxury isn't always about something extravagant.

Sometimes it is about the little things.

Casa Amalfi continues to grow, but our inspiration remains firmly rooted in Southern Italy — the lemons, the sea, the colours, the craftsmanship, the food, the people and, above all, the way of living.

We hope that when you experience Casa Amalfi, you don't just see a product.

We hope you feel a little bit of the place that inspired it.

A little sunshine.
A little colour.
A little Italian joy.

And perhaps, for a moment, it feels as though you are back on the Amalfi Coast.

This is Casa Amalfi.
